My younger brother Victor thinks by doing things for him or by packing his dirty plates and washing them, he is using my head. Little does he know that doing those things is not actually the point, but by showing the 'Servant' in me as a leader.
I believe being a leader is not all about showing the charisma in you or dictating for people but by displaying the spirit of followership in you and doing extra ordinary things.
One thing I realised in politics is that, "You don't need to make much noise, you don't need to be the best ORATOR in front of people before they realise who you are or what you can do.
And all these has really helped me a lot, from my primary school days down to my university days. However, having said all that, I am pleased to inform you that, our problem generally is — everybody wants to be a leader by all means, you will hear them saying 'I don't want to be your servant, 'you don't want to be mine. " Am born to rule" and all that. Forgetting that we first need to crawl before walking.
No wonder Benjamin Disraeli, (1804—1881) said "Act like a slave, never argue, in society, nothing must be discussed; give only result".
Of course, I know people are clamoring for a change, oh yes! am aware of that, even the smallest being in this country want to remove President Buhari as a result of his failed administration. I also want the same thing either by protest or by revolution but then, I ask myself, DO WE REALLY HAVE THE SPIRIT OF FOLLOWERSIHP?
Even Jesus Christ demonstrated this during his days (John 13vs4—5). I believe this country can be great again if only we sit our asses down and rethink where we have lost it.
